Client Care Co-ordinator/Administration Assistant

Job DescriptionThe Client Care Co-ordinator/Administration Assistant position is a temporary, part-time position to cover the maternity leave of our current Office Manager. Covid-dependent, this position may turn into a part-time contract position upon the return of our current Office Manager. The successful candidate would be available to support our counsellors administratively for a minimum of 20 hours per week and the working shifts can be flexible upon mutual agreed scheduling. Currently, our Client Care Co-ordinator works remotely due to the Covid-19 pandemic-this is assessed regularly with ongoing updated Public Health Orders.

Job Responsibilites:

  • Assisting and connecting clients to the appropriate mental health counsellor.
  • Communicating with referral sources such as other conselling and social work professionals and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP’s).
  • Provide timely and accurate, phone and/or typed communications with referral sources and/or private clients (i.e. client intake, progress reports (upon request), notification of missed appointments,etc).
  • Assist counsellors with the scheduling of clients, psychoeducational talks or any other consultation services and contracts.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage clients from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills to handle varied duties and responsibilities.
  • Strong computer skills an asset. Special consideration given to those applicants familiar with the Jane App booking system.
  • The successful candidate must have high levels of personal characteristics including, but not limited to the following: enthusiasm, competency, empathy, and warmth. The candidate must also be firm but fair, encourage self-efficacy and model pro-social beliefs.
  • The candidate must be flexible, with a high degree of motivation, exercise good judgment, and be able to work independently.
  • References required

**This is an in-office opportunity therefore you must live-in/commute to and be able to work in Kelowna BC or Vernon BC.

Clarity Okanagan Counselling and Consultation offers clinical counselling supports to clients locally in Vernon and Kelowna as well as online throughout the province. We are committed to the wellness of our clients and are looking for the right fit to become a valued team member.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree specific to Counselling or Social Work, along with appropriate registration.
  • Must have own insurance coverage (Professional and Liability).
  • Will need a reliable vehicle.
  • Must have up-to-date technology and fast Internet connection for online counselling (if you plan on offering online counselling supports).
  • Desire to thrive and grow within a group setting.
  • Desire to contribute to the growth and wellness of the practice, and work with the group towards success for all.
  • The ideal candidate will be punctual, organized, efficient and have a good understanding of computers/office suite programs.
