About Me

Hi! My name is Kendra (she/her). I support adults and youth (14+) by working through challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. Whether you prefer to meet in-person in Kelowna or online anywhere in BC, I’m here to help.

How I Can Support You

It is natural to experience anxiety, self-doubt and other uncomfortable emotions, however, these feelings can make it harder to move toward the life you want. As a therapist specializing in anxiety and self-esteem, I am here to help you explore the roots of your thoughts and behaviours. Rather than feeling stuck in old patterns or seeking short-term relief, we can work together to build a long-lasting, more positive relationship with your thoughts. Together, we’ll explore how you can respond to your emotions, approach yourself with compassion, and move forward in a way that truly aligns with your values.

My Approach to Counselling

The connection you share with your counsellor is likely to play a big role in your growth and success in therapy. It’s important to find a counsellor who embodies the qualities that matter most to you. I bring my authentic self to each session, blending humour and energy with thoughtfulness, patience, and compassion. I value open-communication, and I am not afraid to ask thought-provoking questions or challenge behaviours and beliefs to help you see things from a new perspective. I take the time to understand what matters most to you—your goals, values, and the challenges that may be holding you back.

My Background

I have been providing counselling for over 5 years, building a strong foundation through my work in various community mental health settings. My experience includes supporting individuals with diverse mental health concerns in a youth- oriented service centre and supervising Master’s-level counselling students. As a mental health counsellor in the public school system, I worked alongside my younger clients and their caregivers, teaching skills to manage emotions and relationships, fostering resilience at home and school. These experiences have equipped me with a unique skill set to help you navigate challenges, find solutions, and feel supported through your toughest moments.

Qualifications

I am a Registered Social Worker with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (Reg. #15148). I graduated from the University of British Columbia – Okanagan with a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Psychology.
