My Background
Hi! I’m a Certified Clinical Counsellor (CCC) passionate about meeting individuals where they are in life. My approach is collaborative and client-focused, designed to support and enhance overall well-being. I bring a compassionate and inclusive perspective to my work, striving to create a safe space where clients feel seen and heard. I am an EMDR-trained clinician and work from a trauma-informed lens. I am here to hold the lantern as we navigate life’s challenges together.
My lived experience exploring sexuality and gender while challenging societal norms has also shaped my practice. I believe we are all continually evolving, and I’m here to walk alongside you on your unique journey of self-discovery and growth. Outside of therapy, you’ll find me enjoying movement in joyful and intentional ways.
My Approach & Philosophy
My counselling style is rooted in a client-centred approach and draws from multiple modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, and Existential Therapy. While these frameworks guide my work, I use an eclectic approach, tailoring sessions to meet the unique needs of each client. I believe the therapeutic process should reflect the individuality of the person I’m working with.
I am an EMDR-trained clinician and work from a trauma-informed lens! Additionally, I am in the final stages of registration as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the BC Association of Clinical Counselling (BCACC).
